The STMS is looking for contributors for the Sports Health Special Issue on Tennis
History
In 2006 and 2007 Babette Pluim and Michael Turner did a fantastic job as guest editors for a special issue of tennis medicine and science in the BJSM. That was a great move for the STMS society in terms of visibility and bringing knowledge and people together in the tennis community.
Background
During the STMS World Congress in Mallorca 2023 the idea of a special tennis issue was brought to life once again. After some great footwork by Dr Todd Ellenbecker we are now happy to announce that Sports Health will be the journal to host this special issue for tennis in 2024!
Aim
The primary aim of the special issue is to publish articles of high quality in the field of tennis medicine and science. Except for being related to the topic of tennis there is no specific theme to be fulfilled. In total we are aiming for ± 8 articles. If there are more articles than the journal can accept, a selection of the articles will be performed according to standard procedure.

Timeframe of submission
The submission is open and deadline is set to the 1st of October 2024.
