KNLTB
The Royal Dutch Lawn Tennis Association (KNLTB) is the proud umbrella organization for tennis, padel—and now even pickleball—in the Netherlands. Founded in 1899, the KNLTB has grown into one of the country’s largest and most dynamic sports federations.
From July 1, 2020, the KNLTB assumed official responsibility for organizing, promoting, and developing padel across the Netherlands and starting January 2025, it expanded its reach further by embracing pickleball as well
Every year, more than 1 million people step onto tennis or padel courts in the Netherlands. Over 650,000 of them belong to one of approximately 1,600 affiliated clubs—and all are supported by an association fueled by a youthful, service-oriented mindset with over 100 dedicated staff working from the National Tennis Centre in Amstelveen.

At its core, the KNLTB is committed to building a strong racquet-sport community—for fans in the stands, coaches at clubs, competitive and recreational players, volunteers, club administrators, and sports entrepreneurs alike. Whether you’re just discovering your first serve or aiming for national championships, the KNLTB is here to support your journey every step of the way
