Former collegiate tennis player at Penn State University (1995-1999), followed by a stint on the professional tennis tour (1999-2002), achieving world rankings in both singles and doubles. Completed an orthopaedic residency at Ohio State University and a sports medicine fellowship at The Cleveland Clinic, and is currently a practicing orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine in central Ohio. Author of 40 peer-reviewed publications and 8 book chapters in orthopaedic sports medicine.
Assistant Professor in the Department of Health and Human Performance at Texas State University. Dr. Myers received her B.S. in Athletic Training from Elon University and M.S in Athletic Training from California University of Pennsylvania (2008 and 2009). Dr. Myers received a PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences from Kentucky University in 2017. Her research focuses on clinical management of overhead athletes with the goal of improving performance while controlling injury risk. More specifically Dr. Myers is interested in load management strategies amongst tennis players and the clinical evaluation of the tennis serve.
