Richard Gayle, MD (STMS Education Co-Chair) is an Orthopedic Surgeon and Sports Medicine Specialist at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation in Mountain View, California and has previously served as tournament physician for an ATP event in Northern California.
He is a currently a team physician for US Figure Skating and a training camp team physician for the Oakland Raiders of the National Football League (NFL).
Karen Jordan (STMS Education Co-Chair)
Karen has been one of the WTA Primary Health Care Providers since 2014. She graduated as a physiotherapist from the University of Hertfordshire in 1999 and completed her Master’s degree in Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy in 2017.
Her professional career started in the NHS before choosing to specialize in sports physiotherapy. She has had extensive physiotherapy experience in sports injury clinics and private hospitals in the UK.
Karen worked as a physiotherapist at the London 2012 Olympic Games and subsequently at a number of ITF events as the Primary Health Care Provider. She worked at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games as one of the lead physiotherapists and at the 2017 Athletics World Championships.
When not working at tennis events Karen does some work with Swim England and at an orthopedic and sports injury clinic in the UK.
